check engine light

check engine light
Hi today i put new batery and start up weather 4 farenheit and i saw check engine light and im driving like without turbo very slow sometimes diving good without check engine light for maybe half mile after it hapen again overdrive light flashing i need scaner for 2000 powerstroke 7.3 thankyou adam

Have you double and triple checked ALL the connections?

Edit: Was it running normal before the battery change? Did you replace both batteries?

I have problem with hot conection but this been before on old batery in 2000 i have one batery only diesel runs without batery

Are you saying you only have one battery? Should be two. Was it running ok prior to this battery change? Any of the same symptoms you mentioned in the first post? Sorry to repeat myself but I am having a hard time interpreting your post.

Yes ford econoline superduty 2000 e-350 7.3 turbo diesel only one batery on pasanger side

Don't they have a second battery mounted on the frame rail below the passenger door also? Pretty sure they have 2 somewhere on there.

OK maybe but i change only that close to engine on pasanger side.i schould change 2nd too.

I would at least check all the connections and voltage. I re-read your post a little closer, is the truck starting ok then just has no power? Looking at the temp outside I have to ask if you are running anti-gel in the fuel to prevent fuel freeze up? I also did a search for the flashing OD light, can be something a simple as the speed sensor on the rear end or as bad as a serious tranny problem, you need to get that checked.

You really should change batteries in pairs. Not good history when people change one.

But check engine light becouse one batery change i disconect the batery and truck dies diesel should runing ok no power like 4 injector running only no turbo tHANK YOU
