We earn 9 hours a month, no limit of how much you can save up. On your yearly employment anniversery, you get x amount of hours depending on x years of service. I have been there 10 years, so I'm maxed at 96 bonus hours. Probalby not the best deal, but we can acrue lots of time. Just can't take it all at once. I'd save it and be off from December until February. I don't like the cold man!! Later.
1 sick day a month, 1 vacation day a month, 13 paid holidays
So thats over 5 weeks a year
After I have been there 3 years I get 1 day sick, 1 day 2 hours vacation, and 13 paid holidays
After 5 years of service it goes up to 1 day and 4 hrs
(Other B here)
I have 2 weeks, supposed to be getting a few more days this summer when I hit 5 years there. Some of the management and crew leaders that have been there forever do get 6 weeks off.
I do work every Saturday and most holidays, but the overtime pay + another day off with pay makes up for it!
I'm usually laid off between New Years and Groundhog Day, so I pad it with my vacation days. This past season I did take 6 weeks off total! And somehow I still have 40 hours left on the books...?
I should get 6 week but they wont let me. My dads company has 3 divison and I work in all 3 a steel frame house divison, awning divison and heavy equipment divison. I need to get paid more. LOL
30 days a year plus 10 paid holidays. During the two weeks of Christmas and New year usually only have to work during one of the two weeks and it doesn't count against the 30 days.
I can take as much time off as I want, but I only get paid for 2 weeks. My holiday pay is paid out every paycheck. 4% I think.
After 2 years, it goes up to 6%, 5 years is 8% ... up to a max of 10% after 10 years.
That's 3 weeks after 2, 4 weeks after 5, and 5 weeks after 10.
But still, I can take all the time I want.
I think the key is having some sort of savings to tide me over. Takes some discipline to bank the 65 bucks every 2 weeks just to have enough saved up at the end of the year to pay the bills while you're gone on a holiday.
Yeah, it sucks. They (my employer) don't even have direct payment yet.

Well, until my job goes overseas, I get over 80 hours a year plus 80 hours for holidays, plus 80 hours of personal time, plus two months off every seven years (sabbatical). Oh, yeah on top of that I only work 14 days a month and they are paying 100% of my tuition while I pocket my G.I. Bill. Life is good... for the time being.
My dad told me once that when he goes on vacation its not really like a vacation. Its more like work deferment. When he gets back he has to play catch up. Being in sales no one is there to do your job while your gone.
