No disagrement there...its not cheaper to convert than rebuild. There is also no question that both these trannies have their places. I know that personally, for drag use, I've had allot of problems with my C-6. Much of that has to do with my weight, horsepower, torque, and heat generating 2500rpm stall torque converter. Now, as was pointed out, the C-6 can be built up to hold up to way more than my motor can put out. But we are talking about more than a $100 and your basic re-build, lol. Believe me, I looked into it. In any case, I think we've pretty much covered what it takes to do the conversion...
