Figured i was a much in the wrong as they were about stupidy with my shooting. once i cooled down and looked at the big picture i reliazed that i handled the confrontation all wrong and should have just clled the law last night instead of retaliating.

I would tie up the dog and be done with it, dont ask them for anything and they wont ask you fer nuthin, fighting with neighbors sucks

And when you stay cool and calm and dont do anything stupid, you can call the cops for help, and you wont end up in the can

If pellets actually hit my truck or me i would go insane. i cant keep my cool in a situation like that and im sure others wouldnt be able to either. Seeing as they had a gun and actually shot it i would drive away for the moment but you should go back and shoot up thier house or car. i mean come on, they actually shot at you. You gotta do something. i wouldnt call the cops about this. i would just handle it the best I could. The middle neighbor might call the cops though and from what you wrote it looks like they intended to. Whatever though, dont do what i would do if you dont want to risk getting locked up. nevermind this is a stupid idea now that i think of it. do whatever you feel is the right thing to do for the situation.

if ANYONE EVER shot at me, they better hope the wounds were fatal.

i guess depending on how long it took you to return fire would determine in court whether it was still self defense or not

if they had already put the shotgun back in the house, and THEN you shot, and nailed one of them, *youd* be in jail. but if they were still shooting at you and you popped one of them, itd be ok.

personally i dont judge you in any negative way for what you did, except that "you shot in the general direction" i personally think you should have a good aim on your target. but as i mentioned above if anyone shot at me, it would be there last mistake. period. so yeah... i woulda gotten p'od and shelled out some lead too.

my dad got shot by the neighboor years ago. neighboor for some reason tore down my dads fence with the tractor, my dad pulled him off the tractor, beat the snot out of him, walked away and the neighboors wife shot my dad in the **** cheek. .410 or 20. guage, light bird rounds. cops came, and didnt do ANYTHING about the shooting, or the destruction of property, but yet.... my dad had to go to court for throwing a few punches... odd how that works
