Brake Controller Wiring

Just brought home my new (used) 2001 F250 V10. The guy before must have removed his brake controller by cutting the wiring harness off. I've found a group of wires run along with the PTO wiring. There is a black, dark blue, red, white and light blue w/pink stripe wire. The plug has been cut off the end of this. Any idea which wire is which? My Tekonsha Prodigy instructions say that Ford should have blue, black, white, red, pink and/or light green. Don't want to hook up this $115 controller and fry it!

When in doubt head to the RV dealer in your area. They will general answer your questions for you. This way there is no mistakes.

Brake Controller Wiring

I would go to a Ford dealer and buy a new pigtail.It can't cost more than $20 and will save you time and hassles hooking up your controller.

brown-illumination
dark blue-trailer electric brake feed
red-trailer brake control feed
white-ground
light green-stop lamp feed to brake controller
