I've got the pictured stereo that I want to hook up. The problem is that someone cut off both connectors and I can't find a wiring chart with the same colors that I have, thus I need some help.
There are 2 pigtails of 6 wires each coming out the back as follows:
Red
Green
White
Yellow
Purple
Blue
Yellow/Black
Pink
Red/White
Brown
Blue/Red
Black
I can trace each of these wires to the inside of the unit where they are numbered on the board. If someone with the same unit could peek inside and see which wire # goes to which pin on the connector, I would be able to use it again. Obviously it is a shot in the dark, but let me know.
And, you shouldn't have a bunch of wires coming out the back of the radio. There should be two female connectors for the male ends in the dash harness.
I'm afraid I can't help identify the color code of the wires inside your cassette deck, but for $6 you could pick up a Metra 70-1770 install kit and then you would have the proper sockets to connect to your factory dash harness.
It's a lot easier to make the connections at the unit than to try and make more than a dozen connections down inside the dashboard.

Let me be more clear on what the back of the radio looks like in this case:
The wires are numbered where they end up on the boards of the radio INTERNALLY. My only hope is to have someone with a radio that is similar internally look at it and figure out what external pins correspond to positions on the boards inside. The model # of this radio is PU-9137A (not that it matters).
Gray plug :
1. Red/white = 12 Volts Constant +
2. Blank
3. Yellow/Black = 12 Volts Ignition +
4. Blue/Red = Dash Lights +
5. Brown = Illumination +
6. Black = Ground
7. Pink = Power Ant ( not used)
8. Blank
Black plug
1. White = Left Front Speaker +
2. Purple loop to slot 4 = Left Front Speaker -
3. Red = Left Rear Speaker +
4. Purple = Left Rear Speaker -
5. Blue = Right Front Speaker +
6.Green loop to slot 8 = Right Front Speaker -
7. Yellow = Right Rear Speaker +
8. Green = Right Rear Speaker -

Get the metra harness. Really. thats what i did and its so much easier
i *stlii* think it would be to your advantage to put plugs on those wires that mate right up with the harness in your dash.
"The harness in your dash" does not exist as this is going in my garage rafters. I could have stated this in the beginning but found it irrelevant as the wires hanging out of the back of the unit needed identified, and all I needed was this information. I expected *someone* on the internet to have this information and was eventually led to what I needed in that other post.

haha.
do you have tapes?
you can get a stereo that has /mp3/radio/ usb/ and bluetooth for $20.
and it comes with a wiring diagram.
except in the case, cd player wires are pretty much universal,
they are all color coded.
at least everytime that I've hooked up a cd player, that has been the case.
usually its the wire for the power antenna that is hardest to find.
maybe a couple of wires are a different color in the stock harness,
but thats why they make test lights.
No tapes here. This stereo was free, lying around doing nothing, and cost me $0. I'm just using up old inventory out of a cabinet of stuff that was "too good to throw away" once upon a time and accumulated through the years.

Getting a Metra harness to "make things easy" does not seem to make much sense to me when all the wires sticking out of the radio would need identified to attach the harness to the radio anyway. This was the information I requested in the first place due to not being able to find it anywhere myself. The harness/connectors serve no benefit whatsoever in my application of a garage install - it adds unnecessary cost and complexity. The next step for this unit will be in the trash if it quits receiving AM/FM, at which point the new stereo would have a connector in the box to use (if I get a new one).
