Let the Mods begin!

Truck arrived Wednesday...I’ve already dinged it so now I can really start to use it.

Snow plow goes on this week along with back up lights and a hid a step so I can get into the tool box.

Wish list and advise on same!

Anybody know what the hole in the dash next to the ash tray/cup holder is? On my Taurus there’s a similar hole but it has a rubber pad with a lip so you can stick stuff on it and it won’t fall out. Not so on the 250, nothing will stay put. Could a CB radio go there? Any advice on type of CB radio and antenna?

Has any body installed the dash kit offered by AutoMega...see at:
http://www.customautotrim.com/wood-dash-kits/dash_md1924.htm
Just want to be sure it installs properly and does not look like the “glue” on that it is!

Any and all advise appreciated.

Thanks

Congrats on your new truck Just a few days old and already have a ding in it,What a bummer The hole in the dash you are talking about is not worth anything, anything you put in it will fall out! For your CB question, there are a lot of good radios on the market,I have a galaxy 88 with a wilson antenna in my semi,But it is costly,A good radio for a pickup would be a cobra or uniden, You can pick these up at truckstops(Pilot/Petro/Flying J) pretty reasonable.($75-$150) The same goes for antennas,I have a magnetic mount that I stick on the roof of my S/D,mostly because I dont want to drill any holes in the body.I see you have a toolbox,You could mount a permanant one there.
A Snowplow in MAY?

Just a cruzin!

Well I'm not plowin' but I gotta be ready.

You've confirmed the CB advise I've eceived elsewhere. I already have a handheld and a magnetic mount that I used with my F150. I've been told an antena mounted to the truck will increase the range of the radio.

Thanks for your input.

Snow plow! Wow when you get it installed and you can come over and plow the FOOT of that white s--- that fell the last two days. It's Frigin MAY already.
Any way the first ding is alwas the hardest. In the first two weeks I had my truck I bent the front panel of the box when I had to stop fast and my camper slid forward. Them 4 wheel discs work great.
Congrats on the new ride.
