Hello, last night the blower motor just refused to run, I get it torn apart today to find all the fuses, and relays are good, but no power at the switch.. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Mine was the motor itself had burned up. After we pulled it out you could smell the burnt brushes. It sounds like you may have a problem with the switch or wiring.... There is a fuse in the bottom of the fues box that controls the heater/a/c functions, it's 15 amp, and is in the very bottom of the face of the fuse box.. It's right next to the turn signal flasher hole.... Good luck, and let me know...
What year is your van? The fuse only controls the blower, there is also a realy for the blower. Any of these could be bad. That is where I would start. Out under the hood there will be a fuse box with a lid on it.... If it's newer than an 88 or 89.. I forget exactly when they started using the power distribution box under the hood.
In mine (1992 E150 Van) that 60 amp fuse controls the blower motor only... There is a relay that is directly connected to the switch. Under the hood beside and under the brake master cylinder there should be a plastic box labeled "Power Distribution Box" you may need to look in your owners manual for the exact location as I'm sure it's different than mine..
