Sounds like some custom wiring. There should be a blower resistor module that runs the blower at different speeds inside the HVAC duct. The blower speed switch is in the HVAC controls. Get an OEM manual from the online store here for some good wiring diagrams.
I seem to be having the same problem with mine? it also has a relay located under the glove box like yours. What year and model is your truck? mine is a 1977 F100 Custom. Im sure you will get it fixed, There are alot of great folks who really now thier stuff on this forum, it's the greatest!
I know mine was factory intalled but, when I bought the truck someone before me had changed the 302 out to a 351C and removed the A/C. Any suggestions on what they may have disconnected that I need to look for? I will test to see if there is power coming from the fan switch as well.
there is a resistor(reostat)that is mount to the heater plenum local parts stores do not service this item. Mine works w/a jumper like yours have not checked the dealers yet but jeffs bronco graveyard has alot of dealer items that are obsolete that will be the same as the trucks.
