moisture in headlights

moisture in headlights
does any one have a clue to why moisture gets into the headlight and in turn blows the bulb ,and how to prevent this any input would be helpful

The housing itself is cracked.
The seal on the rear, where the bulb goes in, is letting water go past it.
Fix? Troubleshoot. Clean the seal thoroughly! and maybe even coat it with white lithium grease or vasoline just to ensure that it is sealing good.
Grab the hose. Soak it down. Still getting wet inside? Well, it's not the seal. Pull the lamp housing and start lookin'.

moisture in headlights
Had the same problem in my 89 bronco. Quick fix was to drill a 1/8" hole in the bottom of the housing which allowed the moisture to dry.
