I am hearing clunking noise when I off my foot from acceleration pedal no matter what engine is warmed up or not. Is anyone has similiar problem ? Is it serious issue or just diesel engine sound ?

I don't recall anyone reporting your type of clunk but there have been other posts relating to clunking noises during downshifts.
Is this what you are having? If so, do a search for "clunks" and "klunks" in this forum. Should find lots of answers.
I have a clunk when I let off the throttle as well. I think i have narrowed it back to the rear axle, and noticed that the third member yoke rotates 1/8 turn before the tires lock up. I am going to have the gears reset to see if that fixes the problem. If you figure it out PLEASE LET ME KNOW, as I will you. The problem is driving me crazy and feel like blasting my rig.

I heard the same sound on my test drive before taking delivery of my specially orded '04 F250 PSD 5-speed auto. Sounded like something in the drive line. I agreed to take delivery only on the conditionl that if it got worse or developed into a bigger problem, they would fix it - entirely.
The diesel mechanic at the dealership (and a couple of other mechanics familiar with turbo diesels) said that it is a pressure relief valve to relieve the pressure in the intake manifold when you let off of the throttle and when the blower does not slow down as quickly as the engine RPMs, the relief valve opens (with a flap) to relieve the unnecessary manifold pressure. Seems logical and plausible to me. Now I don't let off suddenly when accellerating. Not a problem. I no longer hear it, and don't worry about it.
