In response to CC or SC, I test drove only the CC. I sat in the back of CC behind the driver seat and being 6'2" I was not cramped. When I drove the CC with my 4 and 7 year olds in the back seat they looked like small dolls sitting there! So as some already have read my other post I went and ordered the F350 Diesel CC 8 Foot bed Lariat package with 98% of all the goods. May life be easier for my family.
Definitely go with the crew cab! I have had a SC for years but just bought a F250 Crew Cab with 156 in. wheelbase. Its only 20 in. longer than my F150 SC, I hardly notice it. The ride is much better because of the longer wheelbase also. Your kids will appreciate it much more on those long rides. As for parking, just park a little farther out away from the crowd, the walk doesn't hurt.
One of the other Positives of the SC over the Crew Cab for us camper haulers is that you do lose more payload with the Crew. Just had to stick up for the SC's over the Aircraft Carriers, uh er, crew cabs
well i too can't decide on the crew or sc i was wondering how the crew cab fits in a standard 22 ft garage will it fit? if not ill have to get the supercab
My thoughts are if your going to have people in the back seat then go with the CC. I rarely use the back seat other than storage so I went with the SC. I'm happy with my choice.
My last truck was a 99 F350 supercab and the backseat was torture. I took some one along once on a trip and on the way back they got a ride in the back seat of a little Toyota just so they wouldn't have to sit in that supercab seat again. On road trips, the wife or I like to sit in the back with the kid. Sitting back there just killed my back. The crew cab is so much more comfortable. My long bed crew cab measured about 22 feet long and it definitely doesn't fit in my garage length or width wise (those dually fenders stick out too far). It takes a little getting used to the extra length, but now it's no problem.
