I have a 92 Mustang 5.0 motor in my 95 F150 which had a 4.9L previously, now I am at the point with the ignition, can i just say with the hell with the TFS system and just run the distributor off of an aftermarket ignition box? Will that even work? If so what is the better box for the bucks? What parts do i need to get this thing to fire off?!
Thanks in advance,
Gary
Yea,
MSD 6A is a good piece, cant go wrong there. Crane Hi-6 is good too, see alot of those in mustang applications. I'm not familiar if it has the capabiity as a "stand alone box" though. You'll propably have to check with them on that. Nice thing is it has the adjustable rev limiter built in, no need for a extra box. It also has a plug in timing retarder if you ever want a blown or nitrous application. Good Luck.
