I have a friend with a 97 nF250 4x4 Supercab PSD. It is a total dog. It start fine, and sounds fine, but it has no power. It could not pull a lightly loaded 15 foot trailor up a 3 percent grade. I told to hollow out the cats first, could there be something else, maybe a injector bad?
clean screen in fuel pressure regulator, increase fuel pressure to 70-80psi by shimming the fpr, put in an open element air filter (tymar is great) ... stock exhaust? open it up with a 3" round downpipe and a 4" straight pipe, add muffler if wanted, unplug or gut ebpv... just for starters... then add boost, pyro, and tranny temp(if auto, recommended for manual) gauges and a chip.
will be a whole new truck
