headers
does anyone have a 78 f-150 1/2 ton pickup with a 400 engine and A 4 SPEED manual trans. do you have headers on it. i don't think headers will fit this truck. do you know if they will.

I got the 78 w/ C6 and a 77 w/ 390 4spd both with headers, I don't see why you can't use em. That as close as I get. The 78 headers exit downward under the crossmember then the pipes turn back up, so they are nowhere near the trans. Can't remember what brand, way to long ago. I would bet $$ someone makes some that fit fine. GL

sure do,

Summit, Hooker, Hedman > all long tube

they all make headers for this application. Shorties are custom.
