I have a 89 Bronco with a 351 and gets like 5-7 mpg in town and like 10 on the highway, it also seems to run realy rich, why am I getting such bad gas mileage? Any coments on it being rich?
I would say for the power loss clogged cats, but I presume you have none considering you have straight pipes! So, the only way I would guess its running rich is no air, obvious! So, I would check anything having to to with the air iduction, Air filter, Throttle Body, Etc., not too sure, but a consideration, maybe the computer would have something to do with it too??
i try not to get my bronc under 35 mph anywhere i like to keep it up to 45 and above. Mine also is getting bad gas mileage I have a K&n airfilter i got rid of the stock snorkel thing that is attached to it will get more air flow any other suggestions
Well, what kind of gas milage are you getting?? Because Bronco's don't get 30 MPG!! But, It also depends on how much money you want to spend, and how far you want to go with it!
I'm not sure where you live but, in CT, we have the gas additive O2 because its winter which causes my 96 Bronco to get about 10-12 mph on the highway I hate the mileage because its all I drive till spring.
