Recently swapped out carb and fuel pump. Enormous frustration has set in... all I want to do is to replumb from pump to carb. Ultimately, I will get the 3 deuces set up (when I get my carb base from Vintage Speed). Questions:
1. What tube size do I need for this application? I have 5/16ths right now.
2. What size and where might I get fittings for the pressure regulator.... It necks down to 1/4".
3. Where do I locate my fuel line filter a), b) or somewhere else?
None of my local parts places will even sell me brake line. Will have to go to NAPA in Odessa, I guess.
Can't believe such a simple thing is giving me so much grief. Thanks. himmelberg
I feeeel your pain.
As with any plumbing project, its best to get to a very good supplier (the NAPA house near me that keeps the dirt trackers happy had drawers full of fittings , couplings etc) . Take the parts that represent your problem with you and find a counter man to spend quality time with. Measure the length of the tubing runs (5/16 sounds fine) so cutting and flaring can be done at that shop- you can do the bending when you get home.
I put my fuel filter above (past) the fuel pump so I could see fuel delivery, but pre-pump should be fine
