Hi All I have started to notice in the am when it is cold(35-45 Texas cold) that I have slow shifts and it seens to miss shift takes about 10 mins to work it self out. Also had to really get on it last night and shifted funny it took a really long time to find the right gear.
I have heard that ford has re flashed some that have had tranny problems.
Any advice would help.
I would take it to the dealership one evening and tell them to keep it overnight. Have them drive it in the morning cold to verify and fix if neccessary.
I read somewhere that the truck shifts differently in cold weather in order to provide quicker warmup so that you can have heat. I have noticed this in the cold MN weather. It takes longer to upshift and stays revving higher until it's warm. Perhaps this is what you speak of?
Hi Dan I did read your post, I had some big problems yeaterday I did not mention, shifting while towing a trailer thought I was going to shell the tranny. Only had 16 footer with 2 fourwheelers on it. Not a lot of weight.
