The masked magician did the levitation 'trick' too. If you'll notice, Blaine always has people stand a certain angle and distance from him when he does this illusion. Too lengthy to explain here but it involves the pants he wears, the shoes he wears, the distance and angle from the marks. He hasn't sold his soul, he bought it at the joke shop.

Other than that, haven't figured out much more. I Tivo'd it so I could back up and repeat and go frame by frame.
Just normal magic stunts- nothing supernatural.
That's quite possible - he claims that levitating makes him sick to his stomach. It's still pretty odd, though - if he is indeed just walking around, levitating whenever somebody asks him to, where would they hide the rig?

You guys make me laugh. Now you actually think he is levitating. Don't forget people he is a MAGICIAN. Its just good magic.
Still fun to watch.
I don't get into his megastunts, but I like the Street Magic stuff. I always liked sleight-of-hand and Blaine is very good at it.
I saw that other show too, where the guy explained the levitation, but really I don't want to know. I just like to be entertained now and then.
Best thing about Blaine is that there aren't 10 minutes of special effects, hype, and mysterious eyeball closeups between tricks, like Copperfield's shows.
I don't know. I don't much like Copperfield either but at least he kind of laughs at himself. Blaine tries to be too serious, like he really wants you to believe he has this supernatural power. I kind of enjoyed watching the masked guy reveal all Blaine's tricks. It was more interesting than the trick itself, I thought.
