Whenever his tv specials come on, I have to watch them (even though I have seen them before). I think the one that really got to me was when he was doing a card trick outside some sort of store and he threw the deck at the window. Somehow......the card that the participant picked was stuck to the window, only on the inside of the store! Crazyness...

As a magician he's probably one of the best I've seen...but plenty squirrely.

He is an incredible magician. It seems he has gotten a death wish in the last couple of years. He keeps doing things that are more and more dangerous. Eventually he will push the envelople just a bit too far.

david blain would not be *** good as he is without his helper. plus years and years of praticing can make you good at anything. people want to believe there is magic, he does it very well because people are led very easy. i am not running the guy down, i have seen him and i was convinced too that he levited ff the ground, and he is awesome at card tricks. but they are just slight of hand is all, remember when that one guy made the statue of liberty disappear that was cool lol

I used to think the things he did were cool. Until that masked magician guy on fox revealed how the tricks were done. Just another magician with a lot of outside help from 'random' members from the audience.

No he doesn't levitate. He just makes it look like it. If you notice they don't show him doing it from the back, just the side. One foot always remains partially on the ground. People don't levitate unless they are possesed or hanging from a rope.

He is an amazing magician though.

I downloaded his "street magic" special (Discovery channel) from Kazaa and every time he levitates that show him from a different angle. At one point he gets about 6" above the ground, and they show him from the back. Freaky stuff.

Frankly, I'm convinced the guy sold his soul.

After he levitates, he always moves his hands down over his stomach, as if to unhook something.

Other than that, haven't figured out much more. I Tivo'd it so I could back up and repeat and go frame by frame.

Just normal magic stunts- nothing supernatural.
