Pre turbo EGTs?
OK I am having a pyrometer installed pre turbo in the exhaust manifol at a local diesel performance shop in my 94 7.3 IDI turbo. I am wondering if some of you guys running the 7.3 turbo with 12 psi boost and fuel up some are seeing with EGTS and what I should stay under. The diesel shop does great work on cummins and PS but the admit they do very little work on IDIs so I would trust you guys more then them on what is safe. Do not get me wrong I want some extra power ot of my girl but in no way do I want to hurt her. I am having pyro and boost gauge put in as well at 3 inch down pipe. So what temp and boost should I stay under.

Turbo's and pistons start melting at 1250. I try to not hit 1100 for long at all.

If I can ever catch up with a friend of mine I think he knows where a dyno is, but it may be Mopar City there.
