That's what the Brite Box is, a relay. I completely agree with the warnings about overloading your lighting system. The Brite Box avoids the possibility of burning up your light switch and or wiring harness due to higher drawing aftermarket light bulbs etc. The neat thing about it...both low & high beams are on only when you select the high beams.
Any courteous driver knows to not shine their high beams at oncoming traffic, so being too bright isn't an issue...unless you don't flip back to low beam. v/r Les
I have to stock jewel effect lights. They are very bright. Some drivers would say too bright. i always get flashed about high beams....but they are low beams. My truck at work is just a XL package and it has the old fashioned sealed beam lights....and it is like driving blind folder compared to the sealed beam lights.
