Used OEM headlights vs. New Ebay headlights

I'm gathering parts to perform a 05-07 front end upgrade on my 2000 F350. I'm having a difficult time deciding between used OEM headlights vs. New Ebay headlights. The used OEM lights are a little more expensive but used with some scratches. Will I be happier with the used OEM headlights or should I get the new Ebay headlights?

That's impossible to answer, the aftermarket lights vary alot in quality,,,,some are a great fit, others look like crap

Not that this is true in every case, but I have NEVER seen an aftermarket light that I would be satisfied with, and I have seen many. But I am picky too. I would go for the used OEM.

Most of the garbage on ebay is cheapo ricer style which looks like crap on a SD IMO. I'd look for a "reproduction" such as the ones 1a auto sells that look factory.

Used OEM all the way. I agree with 06silvercrew, I have never seen an aftermarket unit that looks right. Besides, as soon as you install the ebay lights you have used ebay lights that will get scratches anyway.

I bought ebay lights for my Gator.

Perfect fit. Excellent quality.

Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Try ebay seller "headlightsdepot".

Here is one:

I recently repaired some serious crash-damage on a Dodge Dakota and needed to replace the headlights. The owner opted for aftermarket, off-shore repops and I was stunned in just how good the quality was. They fit perfectly and are identical in every way.

Well I put the egay ones on my truck and they look very clean and great. They were cheap and I can buy 10 more sets if they look bad in the future, since they are tons cheaper than OEM. I wouldnt mind OEM but just never found any that werent already discolored or damaged somewhere.

What a funny coincidence. I've been having the same debate myself. Most of the used ones that I've found aren't that much cheaper than OEM.

Those look really great on your truck. Are they the same ones jschira posted? They look alike except on the side markers, but could be the angle.

I replaced the lights on my 2001 Navigator. They were smoked and full of water.

I totally agree. All of the aftermarket lights that I have seen have leaked and/or did not fit right. OEM is the only way to go for lights, IMO.

I've polished mine out for the last time and need to replace them. Really embarrassing and really hard to see at night. If anyone is interested I have a HID setup that I never put into the truck that I might be willing to part with.
