Light Problem: Door Ajar / Interior Lights

Light Problem: Door Ajar / Interior Lights
I have a 1999 f350 Super Duty diesel that I recently purchased and it is possessed. I researched this site and people have had similar questions but I have not heard this one:
While driving, my door ajar light stays on half the time and then comes on the other half. Additionally, my overhead interior lights do the same. HOWEVER, just prior to coming back on, I hear a loud "click" coming from the center of the dash. I do not know if this is related or not (I think so
).
I have heard about the door swithces, etc. but this does not explain the overhead light situation.
Also, my lights stay on for about 10 minutes after I leave the truck and lock the doors. This seems a little too long... and yes I have checked the dimmer switch.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know anything about F-350's, but I do know that some cars come with a courtesy system that keeps the headlights and interior lights on for about 5 minutes or so after the key is taken out. I'm not sure if that's the problem, though.
