remote entry troubles

remote entry troubles
I've had my truck since mid Dec and just received my remotes. The dealer nor myself can get them to work. Followed the directions in the book..... turn the key 8 times.....etc
Any ideas?

Did the dealer give you the right remotes? I was getting my truck serviced the other day and went in to talk to the fleet manager to pass the time. He was telling me he had just did a dealer trade for a customer and the other dealer gave him the wrong package and he had to get the right one ovenighted to him. He was pretty cool about it. I was ther when the package arrived. He caleed the customer right away and delivered it to them.

Maybe I mis- stated my information and question. After the 8 key step, the locks are to lock.... mine don't. Any ideas what may be the issue and if it's a flash, not too sure if I want to do that. No issues todate.

Are you talking about autolocks or Key Fob locks? If it is the Key Fob the what Buck is saying (I believe) is you might not have been givin the correct Key Fobs and might check with the dealer to verify. I am sure that you can check the number on the Fob but not for sure, I got rid of mine with the autostart.

I thought I read where there is a TSB or an update for dealers regarding the keyless entry.
They modified or corrected the procedure (not sure if for keyless and/or key fobs).
Ask them to inquire about an update to the old manual or book?
