Now how did I get in the same boat as Monsta?!?!
I'm not the one with all the "BIG" girl pics on my pc!!!!!!
The largest thong in my bed is a size 5!!!!!!
I would post the pics, but this is a family site
I also have a Polaris (Sportsman 500)and a 1997 F250 HD. I wouldn't worry about the tailgate capacity I've been running my quads up into my bed for years with no problems.
If the tailgate cable is rated at 500 lbs. Would the two of them allow for 1000 lbs to be laden on the tailgate? Or am I in the "stupid zone".... AGAIN?
I had to replace a set on another truck a few years ago. The dealer said the cables were rated for 500 lbs. Shouldn't be an issue unless you get all the weight on one side. As for the quad, mine weighs about 600 lbs. and I don't have any problem with loading it. But, remember that not all that weight is on the tailgate. It is also distributed across the ramps and to the ground.
