Try 1-313-322-3000 press 0 then 0 again to get an operator, ask for someone in Customer Assurance Department. I talked to Blaine, but others have had good luck with a Duncan. My concern was the removing of tranny braking in 4th and 5th, as I haul my tractors, that is a safety issue, and that's how I expressed it. They do seem genuine and I felt good about the call when I was done.

DON'T LET THEM FALSH IT WIT THE NEW....

I got a call from my dealership today, they had flashed my truck tuesday for the rough idle and the reveing up. Then they had to pull the tranny out to replace the main. After it was all put back to gether. The diesel mech. took it for a test drive.

WELL know the durn thing has hardly any throttle response....GRRRRRRR......

They have had it for 8 days now and it will be tuesday bedore they work on it a again. Looks like ford timer is on the move towards the lemon law....

I will keep you post on what happens on the new flash disaster......

tryn to keep my diesel rolln,

Hardly any throttle response is not a result of the latest flash. I perceived a reduction in acceleration performance. It still goes pretty good. But it's not what I bought. Your complaint sounds like some other issues.

SBV45,

Exactly correct, my August 2003 built F-350 ran like a rocket and got great fuel mileage until the October flash. It still moves but definately not the same acceleration as new. Plus I lost 3 MPG on the highway and 2 MPG in town.

I've called Ford, I've talked to my Service Manager, now I await a flash that fixes them both. I hear it's in the works, but I'm not holding my breath.

It doesn't run bad now. If I test drove it today, I probably would still buy it. But, it's not what I purchased. I will wait for the next flash, if it is not right, I will want something in return. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

This acceleration problem didn't exist till they flashed the truck, and changed the rear main seal. I don't think the rear main seal is the issue, but i could be wrong...

I will keep you up to date...

Thanks,

Srry for another post regarding the flash, but any ideas what would have caused this issue with my truck????

I am pretty picky when it comes to my vehicle, maybe i shouldn't be like that. But we all payed prob around 35,000 to 50,000 for one these truck. inow that everything will not be perfect in the beginning, but it should be durn close. I heard andy say that every truck on the lot befroe they are sold get the newest and latest flash ( I BELIEVE).

Any info on what to do or what maybe to tell the dealer to check, would be great!!!

Thanks for all the help

Try to keep my diesel rolln,

Powerstroke diesel boy,

I had the 12/12 flash for my 6.0L PSD/Excursion. This is the most recent flash that covers the 6.0L motor. It cured rough idle for cold weather operation and high altitudes, as well as tow/haul adjustments.

Secondly, there is a very defined process for "re-flashing" a vehicle and to ensure that it took properly!!! I noticed on my ticket that they flashed, then did another check or QA check of some sort. The techs time was billed out accordingly for all work, even the re-check after the "flash".

I have heard where there is a strict method to hooking up and doing the flash to ensure all records are properly uploaded and accepted by your truck's computer.

From what I have read and heard, having a tech and/or dealer that knows the proper procedure is vital!!!

All I know is that I had it done (12/12 update) and I am pleased... I am sorry that you and many others not.

Good luck,

I just finnished a full tank after having the Jan flash (03E03). It was 16.1 mpg, 80% hiway/ 20% in town. This is down by .8 mpg from before the flash. Tim, I further checked on the T/H mode on my truck and it doesn't engage until I tap the brakes going down hill, but once engaged it stays

That is exactly how it is supposed to work, how much weight were you pulling.
