I was only making a statement. If it had a egr on it and who knows what yr that engine is in that truck. Someone may have put in an engine from 73-76. A quict check if it was malfunctioning
maybe or if troubles stop if it was pluged off for a test run. As you know some the springs break, get weak,carbon up and so on. Can make a vehicle engine suge, back-fire, pop back in the carb, fall flat on take off. Hope this clears up of what, I short cut in saying.. my 2 cents
