I really want to get some air horns (we had hadleys on out motorhome) so that i can blow those rice rockets off the damn road. Or Scare the **** out of some grandma driving 40 in a 70mph zone! Is there some company that makes Ambassador under the car horns mounts? If not, do the Ones that hadley makes for under the truck sound just like the Ambassadors that go on top?
My buddy and I have the step down from those available from camping world also. I love them, they sound really good, I had a hard enough time spending $250 let alone $350...ouch. But they are well worth it.
2001 F-350 CC Lariat 4X4 LB PSD SRW, Heated leather, off road package, western snow plow, strobe lights in parking lights and backup lights, tinted windows, pioneer cd player, rockford fosgate 1000x1 amp rocking 3 JL Audio 10W0's behind back seat, husky liners front and back, Hypermax "hot rod" chip, Hypermax pryo/boost gauge and Hypermax 3.5 inch downpipe and 5 inch exhaust.
I have never heard the ambassadors. Like i said, i love mine and those are more, so logically they should be louder and better. Everything fits under the truck no prob. I actually rigged up a different air tank, its an old spray tank from adhesive, just bought a conversion kit. That fit right underneath the truck under the pass. front seat. Im leaving for camping tomorrow, when i get back ill take some pics. I also put my horns in the pass side right behind the bumper, again ill take some pics. Ill be back Sunday.

I’m on my second set of Hadley Bully air horns (these are shorter than the Ambassador horns, but just as loud). The first set left in my old F150 I sold. I had to have a set on my 2000 F350. Here’s the details on my install:
I wanted to mount the horns on the roof for maximum sound, but I would have a clearance problem with my slide-in camper. So I settled for behind the front license plate. It’s not quite as loud as the roof install would be, but there’s still plenty of noise. I just made a bracket to bolt them to the bumper that positions the horns behind the license plate. The compressor is mounted to a aluminum plate that’s bolted to the frame and radiator support below the battery. The air tank is on the left side of the engine compartment on a custom bracket.
I wanted the horns to run off the stock horn button, so I just tapped into the horn wire in the engine compartment. I did install two switches in the cab. One of the switches disables the air horn if I want just the factory horns. Otherwise, all horns blow together (although you can’t hear the factory ones over the Hadleys). The other switch in the cab allows me to turn the compressor off if I don’t want to listen to it run.
