Howdy all!
Got a bud that is putting a new motor in his 95 Bronco. 351 and all that jazz....well we had to wait forever to get the motor rebuilt by a shop that we are having some memory issues (Plus i wasnt here for most of the tare down)! We are haveing an issue locating the hose that goes to the PCV valve to the valve cover. The books we are using says that the valve is on the back of the upper intake. IT IS NOT! We found it smack dab in the middle of the upper intake between the runners. We have hoses but none seem to line up correctly. SO if any are nice enough to take a pic of their motor and send it to me, we would do LOTS of happy dances! Thanks in advance! O yeah.....500 posts baby!
I have a 96 302, and the PCV line runs from the valve (in the rear of the passenger side valve cover) to a dedicated vacuum nipple between the runners just forward of the "vacuum tree". The hose loops around behind the intake and follows the fuel rail up to the vacuum source. Your manual (haynes and chiltons) neglected to notice that they changed the configuration. The PCV vacuum source was on the back of the upper intake on the older models. The thread that Purplehaze referred to discusses what Ford finally figured out and incorporated into the design.
There are some photos of modifications done to my truck in the gallery and a lot more photos on my website. Check to see if some of these will help. There are some differences between a 302 and 351, but most things are in the same location.
