The confusing part was the 'streaming mode' it is not a selection it just happens. The second is that you have to click on the PID icon which brings up all the different perameters in the data stream, you then have to check those you want to monitor (Up to 6) then load that selection. You can watch it as a graph or raw numbers. If you select more than 6 it displays the last 6 checked.

The reason for the limitation of 6 is the Predator memory limitation...
it IS just a little bitty hand held - not a super computer :-)

Only having looked at it once (and like some movies, it didn't interest me enough to watch all of it !) the sampling range can be adjusted to allow LONGER sampling and less data or shorter sampling and more data...

Diablo has always been responsive to me in the past as well...
of course we were on the bleeding edge of the first runs released to the public...

And without ANY question I can say it is the best bang for the buck you could spend on any vehicle !!!!
Less than $4 per hp for 100 hp ? and less than $2 per ftlb for 220 ftlb's ????

But the best benefit is that it completely changes the character of the HUGE BEAST !!!

It's still a HUGE BEAST - but it's more like a REAL BEAST now...

I tone it down. The last business meeting I attended wearing war paint didn't work out too well.

I have a question regarding disconnecting the EGR valve. Does it have any beneficial/detrimental effects on exhaust gas temperature or is this a known thing? I understand the benefits of disconnecting it on cleanliness of the motor, but after reading the functionality of the system this question came to mind

I can detect no difference, plugged in or unplugged.

It will have more effect on an 04 strategy motor which includes a throttle plate under the intake elbow; the difference will be felt if both the EGR is disconnected and the plate is removed. If you need instructions on how to do this (assuming you have an 04 motor) email me and I will be happy to fill you in.

Have you removed the hose and looked inside the throttle body and seen the throttle plate? I understood that these were removed in the first 1/4 of 03 and not returned.

They were replaced in the 04 motors and ARE used in the 04 strategy.

OK----I'm still a relative diesel virgin, PSD--if you wanna email me how to remove the throttle plate I would be seriously interested. I'm heading for Austin, Tx today--wife took a job there--installed the predator 65 horse program last week and I'm gonna give it a really good check on mileage on the way. Truck was getting 16.5 with just the FIPK installed. Today the EGR valve "goes away" and the throttle plate if I get the instructions. I'll be monitoring this site basically all day. I'm not allowed to email you but if you want mine let me know. You guys are really getting me tuned up on this motor---the Predator really opened the eyes of some of my hotrod buddies--they can't believe how fast this diesel goes!!!!!!

If you have the FIPK like Bob and the Predator in the +100 HP setting I would guess you are putting down AT LEAST 387 RWHP & 728 ftlb's... probably more since Bob had a intercooler hose splitting at the time....

Fill out your user profile via the User CP at the top left of the page to describe your truck and we can give you some pointers on launch techniques with the 6-0 that will ASTOUND your hot rod buddies :-)

things like brake stands and building boost up to 2200 rpms until the rears overpower the brakes and you can spin the tires all day...
or brake stand in 4x4 until about 1500 to 2000 and launching with NO wheel spin - just less than 2 second 60 foot time...
fun, fun, fun !

OK--did a little profile editing--hope the signature comes out right and all the info. I have the 04 "bible" downloaded on my laptop and hopefully I can figure out the correct location for the throttle plate. Like I said, I'm a diesel virgin, but I've worked on several 2500 HP natural gas motors for offshore platforms, so........ again thanks guys--this site has been a miracle for me and wifey
