I understand that the 6 gun is a "chip" and not a tuner. Go to the banks site and look at their dyno sheet which includes their own intercooler, a $2,000 package.
Go look at my dyno sheet on my gallery. I think the Predator added 114 HP and 200+ ft pounds torque before the hose split acting like a waste gate. Note the 1000 RPM high HP range. I will have it checked again in a few days with the new hose to see how much more it makes. Most agree it should make 30 to 70 more HP. Compare the narrow powerband of the banks.

The predator also protects the transmission with higher line pressures(firmer shifts) and defeats the factory speed limiter.

Depending on the mode you can pick up mileage or towing power. It is very flexable and fun without trashing your engine or transmission. We have never heard of a failure related to the Predator. There have been plenty of reports of overfueling with Edge and other "Chips"

There is actually no reason to buy an Edge or banks product for more money and less performance and less flexability! The Predator Rocks! My Truck Rocks!

I just tried it on the Mustang. The predator booted up, it said there were no codes. I have no way of verifying that it did read it.

It should have coded that I just put a new battery in it, and I have a check engine light because of the off road H Pipe (no cats) I'm pretty sure it didn't read it.

It is a 1998. It may not be the Predator. The inspection shop had a hard time getting it to read out correctly. After 3 trys they got it. Later I gave up and broke the check engine light with pliers.

Why don't you call Diablo and ask their technical people. They seem to be nice folks. In fact I am very surprised how very good the Predator product is considering they beat everyone to market by 6 months.

noone (including them) seems to know if it will work on a 550, and until i find out, i wont be purchasing it. but i dont plan on gettin one for a while anyway. just jumped about 80 grand in debt gettin my own transport company goin, so i wont be makin many "fun" purchases for a bit!!

but the diag will be a big piece-of-mind when im 750mi from home and something happens!!!

I am running the 65HP program on my F250 SD 6.0L PSD. I notice I get a belch of black smoke at the start of rapid acceleration, but not WOT. I mean I am not really pushing it.

Anybody else notice this? Is it normal? I would expect it at WOT or with the 100HP prorgram.
