when using ebay, use pay pal to pay if you can, if you have a proble getting delivery you tell paypal, they check into it, and if theres a problem, you get your money back
I've been on E-bay myself for 4 years, and love it. I usually have good luck when it comes to selling stuff. I always take Money Orders, never anything else. I had a paypal account, but got rid of it. (Never did like the idea of money transfer via. the internet through my credit card). I just use USPS express mail, and everyones happy.
I've found many terrific values on ebay. Most recent purchases were college textbooks in excellent condition for my daughter that were a fraction of the university bookstore's "used prices".
Have had many tranactions with very good results. Car parts, computer equipment, tools, sports equipment... I don't hesitate to recommend it.
E-bay has got to be the greatest way to get money for crap that I think I would otherwise throw out. I have had a few problems but they were limited and dealt with swiftly.
> be the greatest way to get money for ... that I think I would

I found four VW hubcaps under my boss's rental property and I was going to junk them. Ended up making $14 on E-BAY, buyer was happy, I was happy, ended up with one more star and $14 for free. Pretty good for trash. One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Read the fine print on those PayPal service guarantees, it is almost impossible to get your money back if you follow their instructions. Check out: http://www.paypalsucks.com/ I don't use that service anymore after getting poor service three times. I guess I was a slow learner, but I figured I would give a big company that seemed to be useful a second and third chance.
