I am going to install the flush kit on my expedition. I have read another forum about the same topic and I wanted to know If I can install the TEE next to the water pump? Or should it be installed toward the firewall!
Also heard someone say something about the old fashioned way. Exactly what way would that be?
The old fashioned way is just to drain at the radiator and refill, maybe several times. Admittedly, if your system is very rusty, you won't get it all out, but most aren't that bad.
FYI, I wanted to put the Prestone flush kit on my 2001 F150, but decided against it due to the location of the heater hoses (over the COPs) and the likelihood of a leak there, particularly during backflushing. I may do it next time if I replace those hoses and can relocate them.
well thanks for the reply! But I went ahead and did the modification anyway and I have to say that its seems to worth it !
I am at work right now but when I return home I will send a pic of my masterpiece for all to see!
