No Heat
Have a 1999 Expedition EB with 5.4 and rear air and heat.
I have found a number of heater control valves for around $25 for this vehicle.
I have also found a number of comments saying that there is no heater control valve for this vehicle.
I am already aware of the Blend Door Problem.
If there is a heater control valve, can someone show me a picture of the installed valve since I have been unable to locate. If there is none, please advise.
Secondly, is there a way to test the blend door actuator on the vehicle?
Answers to both would be greatly appreciated.
An additionaly question.
Assuming I want to flush the system, should I but the flush kit on the upper or lower hose off the heater core.
Thanks for any help.
I am already aware of all the comments and possible solutions herein however, the answers to the above will expedite my ability to repair.
None.
Yes, but you need to remove the actuator (but leave the electrical connector attached to it) so you can see if it moves when you adjust the temp.
If your EATC module has detected a DTC of 024 or 025, re-run the self test and at the end of the test select the defrost button to clear all DTCs. (The EATC won't power the blend door actuator if these codes are present.)
