A few weeks ago, all 4 windows stopped working at the same time. They do not work from any switch. I was looking in my Chilton's manual for a fuse or relay to check, but the Chilton's is useless.
Logically, I am thinking it must be a fuse, relay or a problem with the ground wire, as I understand all 4 windows share a ground.
Can someone tell me where to start to diagnose this?
Oh, another interesting thing is that prior to all the windows failing, the windows would not operate when the driver's side door was open, but worked fine when it was closed. A mechanic told me this was going to cause me trouble later, and sure enough he was right. Any idea what would cause this? A loose or broken wire in the door? I removed the door panel to try to find the gorund wire in there, but I couldn't find it. Any help (and/or diagrams) would be greatly appreciated!
