Hi all!!
The bolt in my ball joint snapped last week, luckily it happened while i was pulling out of my drive & not while I was on the road.....anyway, when my husband was fixing the other damage that was done with all of the weight that crashed down on the a-arm: is the axle supposed to slide right out of the carrier? do you have to take apart the differential in order to remove the passenger side axle from the carrier or does it just pop out?
you should have a metal flange that the axle bolts up to. It is held by 6 bolts. You DO NOT need to take apart the differential. Once you have that side unbolted, you be able to drop it down from the flange.
