I'm getting 4+ mbs now, sometimes as high as 5 mpbs. They've been upping the speed about every 6 months in order to fight off the DSL companies (1.5 mbs).

I wonder how to check your actual speed, my Linksys card gives me a conencted at speed, and it hovers around 1.7-2.2, I have seen it at 2.5 but that was just for a few seconds.

Matt, do an advanced google search using the words bandwidth test. Run several tests. 2wire.com comes to mind, dslreports.com, and I think zdnet have a bandwidth test. If you go to analogx.com you can download NetStatLive which gives you instant bw info. It's a small DL at about 258K.

That site is a good one. I like to run several tests and from several sources to try to get the big picture. In that google search, one of the hits has the url's of 216 places that offer BW test; they are all over the world.
