I bet it is, I had to deal with AOL for about 6 months, cause it was free, and my parents didn't want to pay for high speed access, so i took it into my own hands.

You have to buy the games on CD-Rom first and then you can play multiplayer at http://www.zone.msn.com
We dont have cable in rural areas up here but we just got this DSL system through Verizon.I dont know if it is as fast as the cable system, but i like it .we have had it two weeks and its been hassel free.we were having a lot of problems with servers and getting booted offline at peak usage times.28 bucks a month billed through our phone bill.
We've had cable for about a year now and after suffering with AOL and dial up this is another world and we wuld never go back to the old antique way EVER
Oh why cant we get cable here. I have used it at my cosuins house before and it is awesome. I will be on dial up untill atleast the middle of summer then were suppose to get cable
In my area, cable is $42.95/mo and you get 1.5M DL (but in reality it's around 1.9)/256K UL. DSL, if it were available, is (or was) $30 for the basic DSL line and maybe $15+ for an ISP; no extra phone line needed here. The service gives you 256K DL/128K UL. So, for more money people get less. But for more money, you can get faster DSL. Why people here choose it I will never understand.
i have DSL and i didn't have to get a seperate line. they send you a duel outlet thing for your phone jack. you plug your phone into one side and the modem into the other. i'm not sure how it seperates them but it does. where i am cable is $85 a month i pay $40 per month for the DSL
