jbl or kicker amp?

Which amp is better for the $ a jbl bp1200.1 or kicker kx1200.1? They will be powering 2 10's or 1 12 not sure on which one yet?I can get the jbl for $240 shipped and the kicker $400 shipped. Is the kicker worth the extra $ and I plan on running my highs with kicker.

I'd personally not use either
but it will probably work.

I'd go for the JBL i think..........
though i like kicker better then JBL...
but if you wanna save bucks, the jbl should be fine.
just make sure to check the RMS output, not the peak output.
ANd if it dosn't say what its RMS output is. then dont even buy it.

Why wouldny you use either?Tons of people told me that the kickers are great design and the jbl give the best bang for your buck.

Both amps are great. I installed a JBL600.1 in my brother in laws Jeep and he's running two 12" kenwoods. very impressive amp for the money.
Kicker makes a solid amp also. What subs are you looking to get?

crucial specs to go by are THD at advertised power...
Signal to noise ratio, RMS power vs peak power, you definitely want an amp with PWM MOSFET power supply, RCA line in and out
for daisy chain configurations....and a built in low/high pass for subwoofer and full range frequencies.

weigh the extra cost versus the added features and figure out whether it is worth it.

The things to look for here are surface mounting depth...this will cover the lowest part of the woofer to the back of the mounting surface....MOst 10's
with the exception of pro series competition subs will not exceed 6 inches.

The JBL GT100's need 5 5/8 inches of mounting depth
will work well with 55-250 watts RMS and have a peak power handling of 1000watts. The freq response is 28-500hz sensitivity is 90db SPL and needs .75 cubic feet of volume. THese go for about $100 each

The MTX thunder8000 T8104A needs 5 inches of depth and works well with
75-400watts rms and handles peaks of 800 watts.
sensitivity is 84 db SPL. has freq response of 24-150hz and needs .5-1.0 cubic feet. These usually go for $180 each (this woofer sounds good)
