Can anyone help me out with an Australian f100 (1985) xlt vin number? It is AL1JFC9769 the engine number is AUJFC97691K. I cannot find any information on it. The Australian VIN decoder sites only go up to 1980. I am probably looking up the wrong sites. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
In America, our vehicles have 17 digit serial #'s.
We are able to decode them by using factory service manuals that are available from Helminc.
I suggest going to your local Ford of Austrailia dealership service manager and politely asking him (or her) if you could look at a service manual for your truck.
Remember, they are not a lending library so politeness is the keyword!
Or you might be able to just call the dealership and ask where they purchase their manuals so you may obtain one for yourself.
Let us know how you make out!
Good luck!
I do believe that I have to say that I've been got on this one (hey, there's a first time for everything ). The only stuff I have that relates to aussie fords is for the falcon, but no, no trucks (and i have NO clue where to look besides ford themselves) .
