Hi,
Where is the 4WD control module(GEM module) located for the 02 and up 4 door explorer? Is it still in the rear driver side quarter panel like the older models(where would it be if I have the optional 3rd row seat?)?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Recently, the 4wd/2wd indicator started turning on in my instrument cluster. It goes on for a few, sometimes flickers and then goes out again. Two days ago I began hearing a noise and it sounded like it was coming from the steering column or somewhere nearby. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? I saw a thread that said the 4wd module is to the left of the radio, is that true for a '98 Explorer also and could this quite possibly be my problem?
