Reverse Sensing System

Anyone out there have a 2004 F150 with Reverse Sensing? How do you like it? Can you shut it off when you are towing?

Ordered an FX4 SCAB yesterday:

Silver/Dark Grey 2-tone
Tow package
18 in wheels
Audiophile sound
Rev Sensing
35 gal tank
Bright tubular boards
Sliding rear window

Invoice: $30,973
MSRP: $35,385
XPLAN price: $31,199 ($226 over dealer's invoice)
..........Be careful...there's a $295 advertising fee that some dealers may try to add that will make XPLAN pricing look like it's under dealer invoice.

My price was $31,199 ( + $52 gas = $31,251 + tax, title etc)

Damn! I can hardly wait the 6 - 8 weeks it will take for delivery !!!!!!!

I have the reverse sensor on an 04 Lariat.
I like it.You cannot see behind the truck as the
bed is to high. You can turn it off.The one on my
truck has started ro beep in reverse constantly
at times.seems to be associated with wet weather.

Most times it works ok.Iwould buy it again.
You will be happy with your new truck.

You can turn off reverse sensing system by pushing button just above ash tray under radio. I like mine very much as it has saved me a couple of times already. I went from a Ranger ext cab to F150 and it takes some getting use to. I have found that once you turn off the reverse sensing system that when you turn truck off and then start it again that it turns itself back on so if you are towing you have to turn off again. I would'nt have another car or truck that did'nt have it as an option.

The 04 F150 is the best truck I have ever driven!!!!

Thanks, Dr. No and lucki1..................glad I ordered the reverse sensing. The lack of visibility with the high bed was the deciding factor. Happy to hear you can shut off the feature when towing.

Damn, I love this website!!!!!!!!!
