i just got my first look at the new F-150's and i half to say that is the uglyest truck i have ever seen from ford, personaly i think they should make the new trucks look like the trucks from the 70's like chevys doing with that new ssr what do you guys think?
Originally posted by Longneck The front end looks alright, but I don't like the bed at all. If ford makes a truck that looks like a '79 I might just buy two.
Ford finally built something good looking. The new F-150 is a million times better on the eye than the 97+ models. The new Mustang is way cool, too. Now, if they'd only do something about the ugly butt SD trucks. '99, SD, v10, 4x4, SC, sb, 5spd

Hey, it's your money! I think the SSR is the ugliest truck (2nd ugliest is the Titan) that the Chevy guys have built. At least the Titan has some HP and can tow something bigger than a lawnmower.
Since you are a Chevey hater, why not get the Dodge with the high grill?
I agree its better than the 97-03 tho I cant say I have any real disdain for any year Ford trucks tho, I didnt really like the first gen rangers.
What I'm trying to figure out is what truck from the 70's did gm model the ssr after ? I thought it was designed to look like the 5 window from the early fifties....i mean round headlights, horizontal bars ?
I think the new truck is a great-looking vehicle, but have you seen the Lincoln version? The 2006 "Mark LT?" Yuck. I really think Lincoln could have done a better job than that, especially when you consider what it will cost. I don't think they've set any prices, but you just KNOW that a Lincoln truck will be AT LEAST $8-10,000 more than a Ford.
