I think the 04's are OK, but the height of the box would be not good if I put my tool box on it. I'd only have about 4 -6 inches of visibility through the rear window.
Now if Ford were to make a concept vehicle like the SSR, I think a '53 - ' 56 upgraded styling would be really sweet. Hmmm..didn't they already do something like that, but not produce it?

Its been -15 for the last few days, and I went out to start mine up, she turned right over and fired up, didn't even have to pump the pedal, carb was frozen anyway, then I had to move my moms '02 Jeep, nothing doing, that starter just turned away but it wouldn't fire. It succumbed to the Ether, after a bit. I love this old beast.
add another to the list against the new 150s. Kinda looks like anissan/chebby mix, or something else ugly. But it is an improvement over those '97 style bubble trucks. late seventies/mid nineties(up to '96) are the handsomers one, IMO.
Bu that's just me.
I like 'em. I always liked the look of the 150 until 97?. I didn't care for that bodystyle which is why I bought a SD in 01.
I don't really need a SD and if I knew the 04 150's would look like they do I may have went with a 150. My dad just bought an 03 F 150 last year after his 1990 XLT took a dump on him. I wish the 90 would have lasted another year so he wouldn't have the 03 style that I'm not too fond of.
Oh well he has a FORD, not as if he would buy another brand truck.

I agree. Where is a pic of your 97 in the gallery? I just sold my 97 stepside (see gallery). I already miss it. One great truck. I have a few friends in your area. Ever heard of Hephzibah?
