I am thinking 6 as well.
Are you going to disassemble the whole cluster to remove all of the green lenses? The bulbs in it are clear, so blue bulbs will cause the green to turn yellow I would think.

Those aren't GREEN Cover's, The covers are BLUE.
Yellow (from the Light bulb ) & Blue (cover)
combined...............Makes Green

There are 6-7 bulbs in the instrument panel, I have two panels sitting here in front of me.
1 for high beam in speedo
2 for turn signals
2 for indicators like brake and seatbelt
2 for illumination
Some panels don't use the high beam indicator in the speedo.
Some panels have idiot lights instead of gages.

Are these 194's the factory replacement part number? Or are these aftermarket hi-lum?

The 194 is a std bulb number, you don't need anything else for the dash.

Ooh. Thanks.
I thought I read a thread a while back talking about high lum dash lights and they mentioned the #194's. Are there such a thing?

I noticed that half of my instrument cluster was much brighter than the other. I finally took it out and the dim half had a regular 194 bulb. The brighter half had a different bulb. I don't know what kind it is, but it reads: OS 12V W5W E1 2GL w1Q. My local parts store didn't have one. Has anybody heard of or used this type of bulb?

If you have the time and patience you can search the web for manufacturers such as GE and sylvania and puruse their spec charts.
