factory carb
My truck has a Holley but I ordered a Motorcraft 2100 thinking it was the actual original type carb.

But, my throttle linkage is nowhere near long enough to reach the connector on the carb.

Suggestions?

doh! it's actually the kickdown for the trans. removing for the time being... suggestions still welcome.

also curious if this is actually the factory type carb?

1971 F100, 302, automatic trans, factory A/C.

You should have the plain old 2100 for that 302.

The holley is a better carb though.

I've never had a problem with the Motorcraft/Autolites. They are very reliable and dependable. Also seem to be more fuel efficient than the Holleys, at least with my applications.

I just went from a 600cfm Holley with vacuum secondaries to the 600cfm Autolite 4100 and the thing runs like a dream!!! Idles smoothly at 550rpm.
