410 Merc

I want to "drive" my 75 F-150, so I just bought a 410 to replace my tired 360... So I am more than open to any suggestions about what to put in the engine, as far as preformance parts.

Welcome to FTE!! You can find all kinds of good info here but we need to know what you are wanting to do with the truck? The 410 can be a serious torque monster for towing or a serious performer with good streetability.

I want it to do both, Power for towing and I want to smoke 'em if I want to race. I dont tow much, maybe a car trailer over the pass 120 miles and back once or twice a year. But other than that I want to go fast

Now how much are you looking to spend? Does it need a complete rebuild or do you just want to soup up an already good build? The Edelbrock RPM intake would be great for you at almost $300. Stock heads can make some good power as well with bigger exhaust valves. The Crane 343801 cam would work great for what you are wanting. I run one in mine and it seems to have enough bottom end that if I wanted to tow something a short distance it would work okay. The edelbrock aluminum heads are good for huge gains and cost about $1250.
