I will always be a Bobby Clarke fan..... He was my hero in 1974, then again I was 12 years old!. I will never be a Bob Clarke fan, and yes there is a difference between the two.
maa139, do you remember when the Flyers always had an up and coming Goalie in the system? Whatever happened to that?
The last GREAT Goalie for the Flyers was Pelel Lindberg, and he goes and crashes into a concrete wall exactly 2.5 miles from my house!!!! Hextall was good, but just couldn't get to the next level.
I have to stop now, I'm gettin' all misty.....

Yes I do, and I agree that Bobby was god-like and that Bob is a big dope. Seems that Bob has gotten fond of trading the 'goalie of the future' away for nobody's. In fact, I remember seeing the last game that the only GREAT goalie they ever had play. I didn't think it looked that bad when Bernie got hit in the eye. What a shame that this team has the attitude that close is good enough. However, I was born a flyers fan and will die a flyers fan. I also pay my cable bill so it's my right to complain!
Bucks County, Langhorne Pa. I have been to your town many times, I have family that lives in Downingtown, Coatesville, and my Nephew just rented an apartment somewhere in West Chester. I bought my first good skateboard in West Chester, there was a very cool little skateboard shop on Gay St. (about 1976) and I bought a G&S fiberglass slalom board with tracker trucks and Simms wheels. I have done a little fishing in the Brandywine too, nice little creek you got there.
It is a shame what a traffic nightmare that entire area has become. You guys have been clobbered by the developers; 30 years ago when I visited that place there was nothing around for miles but farms and more farms. I used to love going shopping at the Farmers Market/ Flea Market in Thorndale, I guess that is gone now. Even a trip to the Exton Mall was fun, it was the only big store at the time, and it seemed so beautiful and pleasant place to hang out at. There isn't one square foot of space left anywhere now, Home Depots and 10,000 other buildings have popped up all along 202 and 100 it is a shame!!!! Happy New Year
