351W an interference engine?
An interference engine is one that is designed such that if the timing element (chain/belt, whatever) breaks or gets out of place, the pistons can impact the valves if they are down when the piston is on the upstroke - you end up with bent/broken valves, scored pistons, bent lifters, even potentially a broken/bent cam. It ain't pretty, when it goes bad.

So! I guess it's a good thing, not to have an Interferance Engine.
By the way? I have a post thread "1986 f150 still bogging out"
maybe you can help me with my delemma?
Thanks: Al

I have seen Windsors bend valves when the nylon top gear loses its teeth. Not always, but can happen.
